Introducing the Festival Wines and Wineries
The opening weekend promises plenty of enjoyable moments for wine lovers. The start signal for this year's festival will be given by Lord Mayor David Langner on Friday, May 8.
Interested citizens and press representatives are cordially invited to the opening ceremony.
Saturday (May 9) will then be all about the festival wines. This year they will once again come from the Moselle, Middle Rhine and Ahr wine-growing regions as well as the wine city of Koblenz. As part of the festival wine tasting, visitors will have the opportunity to taste all the festival wines. Whether connoisseur or novice, the tasting offers guests the opportunity to discover and enjoy the finest wines.

Official opening of the Koblenz 2026 Wine Festival by Lord Mayor David Langner in front of Schängelbrunnen.The festival wineries will be serving free tasting sips between 3 and 4:30 p.m. and answering questions about their festival wine and the wineries.
During and after the official opening ceremony, the vinotheque will be open for wine tasting. From 7 p.m., the cover band DowntownStage will provide an atmospheric start to the Wine Festival Koblenz.

At 7 p.m., "Accidentally" will provide a lively atmosphere with rock & pop covers in German and English.
The bar at the Vinothek is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On Sunday, the wine festival aperitif with the jazz trio Swing Ahead from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. provides the perfect musical prelude and relaxed festival flair.Live music with the acoustic duo Sticky & Strange starts at 3 p.m.
The bar at the Vinothek is open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
