A festive introduction to the Koblenz Wine Festival with a presentation of the festival wines and wineries will take place in front of Schängelbrunnen on Willi-Hörter-Platz.
The opening weekend promises plenty of enjoyable moments for wine lovers. The starting signal for this year's festival will be given by Lord Mayor David Langner on Friday, 09.05.
Interested citizens and representatives of the press are cordially invited to the opening ceremony.
Saturday (10.05.) will then be all about the festival wines - this year they will once again come from the Moselle, Middle Rhine and Ahr wine-growing regions as well as Weinstadt Koblenz. As part of the festival wine tasting, visitors will have the opportunity to taste all the festival wines. Whether connoisseur or novice, the tasting offers guests the opportunity to discover and enjoy the finest wines.
The festival wineries will be serving free tasting sips between 3.00 pm and 4.30 pm and answering questions about their festival wine and the winery. This part of the day will be accompanied by music from the band tri3o.
After the official opening ceremony, the vinotheque will be open for wine tasting. From 7.00 pm, the cover band HOTSPOT will provide an atmospheric start to the weekend.
At the festival wine tasting, the selected festival wines can be tasted right next to the Schängelbrunnen. During the moderated wine tasting we serve tasting sips.

From 19.00 The Acoustics provide a lively atmosphere. The bar at the Vinothek is open from 11.00 am to 11.00 pm.
