Mayschoss-Altenahr winegrowers' cooperative
The Mayschoss-Altenahr winegrowers' cooperative was founded in 1868, making it the oldest winegrowers' cooperative in the world. It is now one of the best of its kind, not only because of its more than 150 years of tradition, but especially because of its top-quality wines. The association repeatedly proves its high quality in various competitions. For example, it was named Germany's best winegrowers' cooperative four times in 2010, 2014, 2017 and 2018. True to the motto "What one person can't do alone, many can", 480 members cultivate vineyards on the Ahr from Altenahr to Heimersheim 100% by hand. Pinot Noir is the clear focus, whether as a fresh Blanc de Noir, fruity rosé or powerful red wine.

Burggarten Winery
The Schäfer family has been growing wine in the Ahr valley since 1898. Paul-Josef and his wife Gitta acquired the former Winzergenossenschatfshaus in Heppingen in 1989 and, with a great deal of energy and passion, created what is now the Burggarten winery. Their three sons are now the fourth generation to run the estate and in 2019 they made the leap into the renowned Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP). As a trained vintner and qualified wine technician with a master craftsman's certificate, Paul Schäfer is responsible for developing the wines. Heiko is in charge of the external operations and pays particular attention to reducing the yield in order to lay the foundations for the quality of the wines in the vineyard. Andreas, also a trained vintner, runs the Weinquartier with his wife Verena.

Hammerstein | Middle Rhine
Scheidgen Winery
The Scheidgen winery is located at the foot of the Hammerstein castle ruins in the wine-growing village of the same name on the northern Middle Rhine. With over 22 hectares of vineyards, it is now one of the largest wineries in the Middle Rhine region. Tradition and progress have been inextricably linked since 1779. This characterizes the philosophy of the winery and the high quality of the wines. They are the result of seven generations of experience, the careful handling of vineyards, the cultivation of old grape varieties, environmentally friendly and intensive work in the vineyard and the use of state-of-the-art cellar technology. The vinotheque opposite the main building, which was completed in 2017, offers a modern ambience for getting to know and tasting the wines.

Toni Müller Winery
At the Toni Müller winery, Helmut and Maria Müller work hand in hand with their son Thomas and his wife Julia. The family has been rooted in the Terrassenmosel, in the Güls district of Koblenz, for over 400 years. They have been growing grapes on the steep slopes around Güls and Winningen for twelve generations. Thomas Müller completed his training as a vintner in Geisenheim, becoming an economist and viticultural technician. He has been responsible for the wines since 2003 and combines traditional knowledge of soil and climate with modern fermentation. He has continuously led the winery to the top with his signature style. In the 2022 award year, the Toni Müller winery was awarded the German Agricultural Society's (DLG) Bundesehrenpreis in the wine category for the ninth time.

Edgar Comes Winery
The Comes winery cultivates around 3.5 hectares of vineyards in Klotten, 95% of which are steep slopes that can only be worked by hand. Our main focus is on the production of the queen of grape varieties - Riesling. It covers over 70% of our total yield. The rest of the range is rounded off by Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Regent and Dornfelder. We, Simone and Jörg Comes, are the 5th generation to run the winery and are constantly working sustainably and in harmony with nature to produce high-quality, elegant wines with plenty of race and structure.

Winery Spurzem
For the Spurzem wine growing family, wine is a passion and an attitude to life, enjoyment and pleasure. Making the most of what nature has to offer—that is the goal of the two vintners Gerhard and Jonas Spurzem. The awards they have received in recent years speak for themselves, including the honorary award from the city of Koblenz in 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023. At the winery, you can experience, enjoy and, of course, buy wine. In addition to award-winning wines, the wine store always has a selection of gift ideas relating to wine and good things from the region. From June to October, the winery's bar is open for the WeinProbierZeit. Six individual wine tastings invite you to discover them.

Karl Lunnebach Winery
The Lunnebach winery stands for wine growing by tradition. Vintner Karsten Lunnebach and his wife Nicola are now the fourth generation to run the winery in the beautiful Koblenz district of Güls. They attach great importance to natural viticulture. They have not used insecticides for over 25 years and have not used herbicides for three years. The vineyards are fertilized by adding compost. The wines are vinified vegan. The harmony of nature and vineyard is very important to us in order to get the best possible results from the vineyards and therefore from the grapes. Quality is our top priority in order to produce harmonious and digestible wines.
