The wine-growing regions of the Moselle and Middle Rhine valleys meet in Koblenz. The Roman Kelter stone in the middle of Koblenz, right next to the city hall, hints at the long wine history of the city. In the middle ages, Koblenz foundations and monasteries were the main wine producers. In the 1900's Koblenz developed into an important city in the wine trade, especially with consideration to the Deinhard wine and sparkling wine cellar. Ten full-time wineries and a few part-time wineries operate in the suburbs Ehrenbreitstein, Moselweiß, Güls and Lay. The Koblenz vintners have created a union. In addition to cooperative exchanges, they work to shape the city's culture by participating in festivals, for example. In total, there are 8 vineyards within the metropolitan area. The main grape type is Riesling. However, Müller Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder and other white and red wine grapes are also grown.

Hähn Winery
The Hähn winery is located in the Güls district of Koblenz, just four kilometres from the Deutsches Eck. Christian Hähn is the fifth generation to run the family business on the Terrassenmosel. He is a technician for viticulture and cellar management and is actively supported by his wife Kirsten. The Hähn winery is represented at many Koblenz events, in the regional gastronomy and some food markets as well as at the Koblenz weekly market. The basis for the gently vinified wines is provided by quality-oriented viticulture combined with reduced yields. Modern cellar technology and professional vinification guarantee fresh and delicate wines as well as sparkling wine of the best quality. This top quality is documented every year anew by the successful participation in the wine awards of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.

Toni Müller Winery
At the Toni Müller winery, Helmut and Maria Müller work hand in hand with their son Thomas and his wife Julia. The family has been rooted in the Terrassenmosel, in the Koblenz district of Güls, for over 400 years. For twelve generations, they have been growing grapes on steep slopes around Güls and Winningen.   Thomas Müller completed his vintner training in Geisenheim, became an economist and viticultural technician. Since 2003, he has been responsible for the wines and combines traditional knowledge about soil and climate with modern winemaking. With his signature, he has continuously led the winery to the top. In the award year of 2022, the Toni Müller winery was awarded the Bundesehrenpreis of the German Agricultural Society DLG in the wine category for the ninth time.

Schwaab Winery
Nikolaus Schwaab laid the foundation stone for today's winery in Koblenz as early as 1890. Today, Christof Schwaab and his wife Nicole are responsible for the family winery's viticulture, and Johannes Schwaab entertains guests from near and far in the café and wine restaurant. As the main owner, the Schwaab winery cultivates the single vineyard Koblenzer Marienberg on the lower course of the Terrace Moselle. The fruit-driven and finely structured wines from the transverse terraces are characterised by stony slate-sandstone-quartzite soils with a higher iron content. The slate is responsible for the wines' exceptional character and great development potential. The winery has made a name for itself nationally as a premium producer of Riesling, Pinot Noir or Pinot Blanc, as well as a provider of diverse wine experiences.
